Jumping Rivers is an analytics company whose passion is data and machine learning. We help our clients move from data storage to data insights.

The company has three key strands: training, data engineering and machine learning consultancy.

We are based in Newcastle Upon Tyne in the Catalyst Building - home to the National Innovation Centre for Data. But half the company is remote. We trust our team to manage their own time. If you want to go for a run in the afternoon and work later, that's fine with us!

If you are based near Newcastle, then you can come into our office.

We embrace flexibility and remote working. If you want to take Friday afternoon off and work the next day. That's fine. We even allow you to be flexible with Bank holidays. If you want to work on Bank holiday and use that day some other time; that's also fine!

Job Description

This role is

  • remote (UK preferred)

  • part-time position: 0.2 to 0.4 FTE option (salary pro rata)

  • has accountability for marketing and communications.

Key Accountabilities:

Marketing & Communications

  • Plan, implement and evaluate promotional communication.

  • Execute internal and external communication plans, including developing various marketing collateral, content and campaigns.

  • Work with colleagues to establish and use relevant branding for event publicity.

  • Take responsibility for delivering target numbers for events and projects through effective delivery of communication plans.

  • Gather, analyse and present structured information for use by the Management Team.

Preferred Experience

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum two years of relevant experience

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication & time management skills

  • Experience of LinkedIn related marketing

Nice to have:

  • Experience in managing tasks through Asana or an equivalent task management system

  • Experience of working in an SME business

  • Experience in marketing within the tech industry
